Narcicus Live music bar

Narcicus Live Music Bar on the famous Heng Shan Rd has a lively ambience with energetic performances from "Monopoly" brought in from Philippines.

By 11 o'clock the place is moving with the band and staff keeping you entertained and well tended to.

The build up to these hours of fun can be filled by dining and socializing by candlelight with choices from the global menu reasonably priced.

Cloud Nine

Cloud Nine has possibly (along with Puj's) the best location for a bar in Shanghai. Literally in the clouds- on the 85th floor of the spectacular Jinamo Building- this bar is in a class of its own. The bar is a fair distance from many of the other city hot spots and as such, tends to attract a bit of an older, wealthier crowd who are either hotel residents or, who can afford to make this their local! It is worth splashing out on though, even if only for the views. The city looks pretty spectacular at night from all the way up here!

Cafe 1931

1931 is a gorgeously quaint little restaurant/bistro in the center of town on Maoming Nan Lu. The decor here is old style Shanghai chic, and there are great gramophones and cigarette postcards decorating the restaurant walls and interior. There is a very personal and charming atmosphere about 1931 and the food and drinks while not spectacular, are fairly tasty and reasonably good value. At night, this place becomes a quiet bar filled with couples. For a relaxing and quiet evening with good food in a charming environment, you could do a lot worse than 1931.
