Check-in Information
General Regulations
  • Whether you have an electronic ticket or paper ticket, passengers should arrive at the airport within the required time limit. Please bring your valid passport, necessary visas and other valid travel documents that you used during the purchase of your ticket. Be sure to complete all check-in and exit requirements in advance.
  • If the flight is delayed or cancelled due to an aircraft repair, aircraft change, business or crew issue, Air China will provide food and accommodation to passengers. If the flight is delayed or cancelled due to weather conditions, emergencies, air traffic control, security inspections and passenger issues, Air China will assist passengers with finding food and accommodations but this is at the passenger’s cost.
Check-in Time for domestic flights
  • Check-in counters for all airlines will close 30 minutes before departure for domestic flights. Boarding gates for all flights will close 10 minutes before departure.
  • Customers connecting between 2 Terminals should plan for a minimum connecting time of 2-3 hours depending on the flight.
Check-in Time for Intetnational flights
  • Check-in counters for all airlines will close 60 minutes before departure for international and regional flights. Boarding gates for all flights will close 10 minutes before departure.
  • It may take a long time to complete formalities such as customs, immigration, and quarantine, so we suggest you arrive at the airport within a sufficient timeframe. There are special regulations concerning the validity period of your passport, so please check these matters at the local business department or related embassies and consulates.
  • In order to promptly complete entry procedures when you get off the plane, please clearly fill in the Entry Registration Card and Customs Application in advance. Once you arrive at your destination, you will submit your passport along with the Entry Registration Card to the immigration official to be checked. After the immigration inspection is complete, proceed to customs where you will submit your Customs Application to a customs official.
Travel Documents should be in your carry-on baggage
  • For both domestic and internatinal flights, passengers will need to show a valid passport, necessary visas and other travel documents that you used during the purchase of your ticket. Please be sure that these documents are in your carry-on baggage and not packed in your checked luggage
